  • What does water sound like? Create a list of vocabulary to describe this sound.
  • Do you think it sounds delicate?
  • Does it always sound the same? Compare the sounds (e.g. shower running, waves on the shore, waterfall, tap dripping…).
  • How does this setting make you feel? Why do you think that is?
  • Would you ever find this kind of setting in a story? What type of story?
  • Think of all the ways you could write about this setting (e.g. story, poem, information page…). Choose one and produce a piece of writing.
  • Do you think this is a real place? Justify your opinions.

I’ve never noticed leaves to be this bright or for the water to rush so fast or the wind to wisp past your ear so loud, sweeping your hair as it goes. I can’t stop but wonder who made the leaves so fluorescent and the water so clear or the wind to be so sharp. My eyes overwhelmed my this fresh morning deep in Forrest. My eyes are fixed of the tree. With the squirrels going about the business and the owls finally resting to sleep. I walk further but it all changes… my feet get glued to the ground I can’t run or scream I’ve lost all motion what can I do…

    Dear diary
Today has been extra ordinary I have experienced something beautiful and unbelievable.Well it started when I was in my local woods which I have been in lots of times.I was walking my usual way but accidentally went the wrong way half way through I didn’t even know. But then in the glimpse of my eye was a long stream with trees with orange and red leaves on it.It was the best thing I have ever seen in my whole entire life. The transparent stream flowed across the woods as the trees reflection showed up on the fresh water.Tomorrow I’m definitely going again.
    Dear diary
I went again but something bad happened.I got lost there it was so scary.I didn’t know what to do I was by myself alone. But I’m not out of the forest I’m here still now! What am I going to do?
