Some Things Never Get Old

  • What are the children doing?
  • Where do you think this is? When do you think this is?
  • Why aren’t there many people here?
  • How do you feel when you look at this picture? What about if you imagine yourself being there? Why do you think this is?
  • If you were there, what would you do?
  • What is the title referring to?
  • Give this place a name and write a tourism advertising campaign to increase the number of visitors. What are the ‘selling points’ of this setting? Be sure to turn any potential negative points into positives (e.g. ‘dirty water’ > ‘Get back to nature. Bathe your skin in water free from chemicals.’)

standing by the eage of the water, looking down as if I was looking up to the night sky and instead of stars the sun’s reflection bounces off the dark water back into the soft baby blue sky. I think to my self there’s a first time for every thing, I dip my toes into the water, it tingles with chills going up my spine and shoot back down as I pull away. I decide too dive in on three. Three, as my head hit the water I felt fresh and cool like something had changed, I felt alive like anything was possible. Now I had lost my breath. When my head rised above the water the breeze was warm and the air was sweet I felt happy and joyful I had forgot about my past, it was like I was reborn .

I swam over to the rock where all my friends were having fun jumping Off the rock . I climbed up and jump off. It felt like I was flying .
